TEAS Winter Campaign 2011-2012
Last updated 17 November 2011

TEAS is the local Energy Advisory Service within the Western Isles and has been active in energy efficiency advice and environmental projects for almost 15 years. TEAS is a non-profit making organisation run by a voluntary committee. The last few years have seen many changes within the energy efficiency and renewable energy market.
At present TEAS offer a free home energy advice service across the Western Isles for clients with long term or terminal illnesses. We assist the client with energy efficiency measures, tariff advice, billing enquiries, insulation measures, programme settings, income maximisation and advice on any grants currently available.
We also have a limited offer of a free fire blanket in conjunction with Age Scotland and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar. If you or anyone in your household is over 60, you are considered eligible for the scheme.
TEAS and Scottish Hydro Electric (SSE) are also working together and are delighted to announce a continued working partnership to distribute energy efficient household appliances to low income households. The scheme is part of SSE and TEAS’s ongoing aim to assist householders to reduce their electricity consumption.
